OUR
Mission

At Hospice Paws, we are guided by a heartfelt mission to fill the void in pet visits for individuals undergoing hospice care and to offer comprehensive pet chaplaincy services. Our dedicated volunteers bring the warmth, wagging tails, and unconditional love of pets into the homes of hospice patients, providing respite from the challenges of illness and offering emotional and spiritual benefits during times of unrest, stress, and loneliness. Our Pet Chaplains are also available for spiritual care and support to help pet parents navigate a range of scenarios coupled with services tied to their beliefs.

As a registered LLC in Massachusetts, Hospice Paws is not just a service; it's a community of volunteers united by a shared passion for making a difference in the lives of pets and their human companions. We believe in the power of unconditional love, and it's this belief that fuels our commitment to serve without charging a fee for our services.

MEET
Holly

Holly founded Hospice Paws out of her deep love and compassion for pets and the special bond they exhibit with humans. Holly has a background in doing pet therapy with her collie and noticed a gap in pet visits to individuals undergoing hospice care in private home settings. Hence, she formed Hospice Paws to fill that void and bring loving pets into the homes of hospice patients to offer comfort care.

Holly’s calling to pet chaplaincy came from the agonizing pain she witnessed in pet parents (and experienced herself) from the loss of a beloved pet, noticing that such pain is often carried alone with little spiritual support for the grieving pet parent. Holly, who holds a Master of Divinity, formed Hospice Paws to not only help support pet parents in pet loss, but to offer a full range of pet chaplaincy services. Holly’s commitment as a Hospice Paws Pet Chaplain is grounded in her spiritual nature and love and respect of pets as created beings.
